Description
The Baxter Sodium Chloride 0.9% Intravenous Infusion 1000 mL is a sterile, isotonic normal saline solution used for extracellular fluid replacement, electrolyte balance, and general hydration therapy in clinical settings across Australia. Indicated for the restoration and maintenance of extracellular fluid volume, sodium and chloride ion replacement, management of metabolic alkalosis with fluid loss, and general IV hydration therapy. For single use only — discard any unused portion. Use under medical supervision only.
Monitor fluid balance, electrolytes, and renal function during prolonged therapy. Use should be carefully evaluated by a healthcare professional in patients with congestive heart failure (CHF), severe renal impairment, or conditions with sodium retention and oedema such as cirrhosis or nephrotic syndrome.
