AED Complete Maintenance & Servicing Program
An AED that fails in an emergency is worse than no AED at all. It creates false confidence. Regular professional servicing ensures your device is genuinely rescue-ready — not just showing a green light.
Annual AED servicing is not a box-ticking exercise — it is the only way to know your device will actually work when someone's life depends on it. First Aid Supplies Australia's servicing program is delivered by registered paramedics, nurses and practitioners who carry and use defibrillators in real emergencies. We know what failure looks like because we've seen it in the field. From a WH&S and organisational liability standpoint, documented professional servicing also provides the evidence trail your organisation needs to demonstrate duty of care.

Why Professional Servicing Matters — What We've Actually Found
This is not a theoretical risk. Our team has found the following during real-world AED inspections across Australia.
No pads at all
The AED cabinet was empty or pads had been removed and never replaced after a previous emergency or false alarm. Without pads, the device cannot be used.
Wrong pad type for the device
Third-party or incompatible pads installed that don't connect correctly to the specific AED model, preventing it from functioning.
AED not powered on / self-test failure
The device fails its own internal self-check but no one noticed because the indicator light wasn't being monitored.
Cabinet locked with no key accessible
The AED was secured in a locked cabinet with no clear instructions or accessible key, making it unreachable in an emergency.
No CPR signage or instructions visible
The AED was present but had no accompanying CPR guide or signage, leaving bystanders unsure how to proceed.
Device not registered
The AED was not registered with the relevant state ambulance service, meaning emergency services had no record of its location.
These are not edge cases — they are routine findings. An AED with any of these issues will not save a life. Professional annual servicing is the only way to be certain your device is ready.
