The Molecular Sieve Bed is a genuine replacement service part designed to fit the DJMed Battery Portable Oxygen Concentrator. The molecular sieve bed is a critical internal component responsible for separating nitrogen from ambient air to produce high-purity therapeutic oxygen for the user.
Made from zeolite — a porous material with a high affinity for nitrogen — the sieve bed preferentially adsorbs nitrogen molecules while allowing oxygen to pass through, enabling the concentrator to deliver elevated oxygen concentrations via nasal cannula or mask. Replacing the sieve bed at recommended service intervals restores oxygen purity output and extends the operational life of your concentrator.
How It Works:
- Ambient air is drawn in and filtered to remove dust and impurities
- Filtered air is compressed and directed through the zeolite sieve bed
- Nitrogen is adsorbed by the zeolite, allowing concentrated oxygen to pass through
- Purified oxygen is delivered to the user; nitrogen is periodically vented to regenerate the bed
- This cyclic process provides a continuous supply of concentrated oxygen
