The QuikClot Haemostatic EMS Dressing is a sterile, soft, nonwoven dressing (10 × 10 cm) impregnated with kaolin — an inorganic mineral that activates Factor XII to accelerate the body’s natural clotting process. This dressing creates a robust clot quickly, helping to control bleeding and providing more time to manage patient care. Compared to standard gauze, QuikClot delivers superior results in reducing blood loss and promoting stronger clot formation, potentially reducing exposure to bloodborne pathogens and equipment decontamination time.
