How to Use — Hot Application

Hot Water Method:

1. Boil approximately 4–5 litres of water and remove from heat
2. Immerse pack in water for approximately 10 minutes
3. Remove pack and insert into the towel cover provided before applying to skin

Microwave Method:

1. Flatten the pack and ensure gel is evenly distributed before heating
2. At room temperature: heat on high for 30 seconds, let stand 30 seconds. Add further 10-second increments as needed until correct temperature is reached
3. If frozen: heat on medium for 60 seconds, let stand 60 seconds. Add further 10-second increments as needed
4. Record the total time for future reference

How to Use — Cold Application

1. Store pack in the freezer for at least 2 hours before use so it is always ready
2. Insert into the towel cover provided before applying — never apply directly to skin from the freezer
3. For greater cold penetration on severe injuries, wet the towel cover before application
4. Apply for 15–20 minutes only to avoid skin damage
5. Repeat every 1–1.5 hours as needed. Consult a physician for extended use
