The Snake Bite Indicator Bandage (10 cm x 4.5 m stretched) is purpose-built for managing life-threatening bites and stings using the Pressure Immobilisation Technique (PIT) — the recommended first aid treatment for all Australian venomous snakes, funnel-web spiders, cone shells, and blue-ringed octopuses.
Unlike standard crepe or elastic bandages, these indicator bandages feature continuous printed markers that clearly show when the correct level of compression has been achieved, ensuring consistent and reliable application across the entire limb. Each bandage is wider and longer than most standard bandages, providing sufficient length to immobilise even a large adult leg.
